My 2 Cents
I wasn't to sure about staying so close to Niagara Falls when it was first suggested that we stay here. I am not one
for staying at places that are huge tourist attractions since they are usually used just as some place to sleep when the atrractions
close.
I was very happily surprised with this site. It had just about everything for every camper. They had small (really
small) grassy sites set aside for tenters away from all the RVs. They big rigs were away form the smaller ones like mine and
everything ran like a well oiled machine.
They bathrooms were older but cleaned constantly. I have never seen so many
showers in one place. They even had bath tubs. The best part FREE showers. I love being able to rinse off after getting out
of the pool or just before bed without having to pay for it.
The pool was clean and warm. The hot tub could have been
hotter but was acceptable. Their playground was about as nice a one as I have ever seen. They had all sorts of things planned
for the kids including a movie night and a dance (the parents kept the dance going until just after quiet time).
Our
site was well shaded but had some sun and was really pretty level.
There were 3 things that took away from the campground.
The water was drinkable city water but the plumbing was plastic and that is all you could taste even if you boiled it. There
were big diseal pushers and other trucks in and out of the campground constantly. People were coming in at all hours after
long drives to see the Falls. Lastly the most noticeable was the proximity to a bsuy rail track. I would say about 10 long
trains a day rumbled within 10 feet of the campground fence. A liitle more than half went through some time after dinner.
All
in all we had a terrific time here and are planning on returning again next year.
