My 2 Cents
When I called to book the lady on the phone didn't even take my name. There were only 2 or 3 other people staying
in our part of the park the entire time we were there. Given it is not the biggest park in the world but that is still not
all that many people.
The bathrooms looked as though they had been treated to some new tile in the last couple of
years. But they were charging a dollar per shower and they weren't all that long just enough to get the soap off.
After
I have paid I ask what time the pools open in the morning as it is going to be 25 degrees the next day. She informs me that
they have not opened the pools for the season yet. As we drive past them we see that the pools are very similar to the swamps
that have seen in Florida. Weeds have over taken all of the patio area around the pools.
I try to back into the site
and find I can not get across the ruts that have developed over the years with people driving through the park.
It
appeared that the 30 amp service which they advertise is limited to the seasonal sites only.
The grass is only cut
for the seasonals regularly the rest is cut infrequently.
The mini putt no longer has any turf on it and the playground
didn't look very safe.
My wife was even more disappointed than I was. She remembers when this was the hot spot in
the area and was saddened to see it in such state. I think that the owners who are older people and do not have much staff
are looking to turn the park into a seasonal park where the people pretty much look after themselves and only ask for the
water and electricity to work and for the pool to open sometime during the summer months.
Rating
If the park
was cared for properly it would be an outstanding little campground with a beautiful surrounding but in the state it is in
I can only give it
