We planned a holiday with 3 other couples to return to Willow Lake Park in Woodstock. We had been there before and knew
that we liked the place and felt that our friends would as well.
We arrived slightly later than the rest of the group but were set up in time for dinner Friday night.
After going
for a swim to cool off since the temp was pushing 40 deg Celcius we made dinner and put the girls to bed.
We all sat
up enjoying the first camp fire of the trip. I got to try my new pie iron (which later melted in the fire) and the others
made smores and hotdogs.
The next morning we made breakfast and went swimming immediately.
As always Victoria made several little friends but she was more than happy to stay and play with the adults non of which
have kids of their own and just love spoiling ours.
The last night we were treated to a fireworks display to celebrate
Canada Day. Then back to the campsite for another fire and some food before turning in for the night.
Except
for a small transmission problem on the way home we had a very enjoyable weekend.
