This is the absolute best campground that I have ever stayed in. There wasn't a cigarette butt, a candy bar wrapper,
or any other piece of garbage that you usually see thrown on the ground. Never saw anyone picking it up but someone was definately
cleaning up constantly.
Some of the transient sites were a little skinny for my tastes but they made up for it in length.
The site we stayed on backed onto the park and the duck pond. There was enough room for the trailer, the van and to set up
the awningout being to close to the fire.
The bathrooms were recently rebuilt using a beautiful on all the walls and
rain shower heads have been added. The showers are long enough that one quarter will usually do and there is always
lots of hot water. The staff keeps the facilities clean at all times. Not once did I notice any dirt in the washroom.
I
was really impressed with the playgorund they have installed. It had something that every child could do no matter what age
group they were in. There was even this really neat back hoe like thing that daddy really liked. There were small slides,
large slides, little kid toys, big kid toys you name it. Very impressive.
They have a huge open field where they have
set up some horse shoe pits, a nice flat area for lawn bowling, a baseball field and a volleyball net.
They had something
planned just about every night at the rec hall whether it was bingo or a band they were trying to put on some entertainment.
The
pool was spotless. They power sprayed everything every morning with chlorine and if you thought that it was a little cool
in the water and the over heard you they would turn up the heater.
This is the must visit campground in Ontario.
